Everyone had a great time last night what with the Canucks shootout win, a few pints, and lots of hot poker action.

Feel free to leave some comments here.

Congrats to Jen and Scott – the winner and second place.

Survivor: Cindy – What an idiot!

Okay, I admit it. I enjoy watching Survivor and The Apprentice. I know, most of you are shaking your heads right now. I’d be willing to bet that a lot of you are probably secretly thinking, “Whew, I’m not the only one.”

Now that my dirty little secret is out of the way I want to talk about Cindy’s decision tonight to take the car and the reward rather than giving the other competitors cars. I’m not a superstitious guy, so the idea that no car winner has ever won Survivor has nothing to do with my opinion here. My decision to give the other four competitors is based on the fact that if Cindy takes the car one out of five people has a free car. If Cindy had given the other four competitors cars, four out of a possible five free cars would have been given away; and four people would always remember that moment.

Cindy ended up getting kicked off the show tonight – and I don’t think it was because of her car decision. I still think the decision was outrageous.

Get the details here.

My two cents.

Wintery Views – Burnaby, BC

Winter View of Burnaby Cemetery

Awoke about 9am to a sunny morning with snow on the ground. While having my morning coffee I thought I’d better pull out the camera and snap a few shots of the view from the apartment patio…and I actually did it. The picture above is of the north-east view from our patio.

Snowboarding at Grouse Mountain, Vancouver

Bridget and I went snowboarding at Grouse Mountain today. They’ve received 40cm in the last few days and had a base of 140cm today. The snow was great and their new high-speed chairs are superb. It was Bridget’s second time snowboarding and by the end of the day she was linking turns and riding quite comfortably – I’m looking forward to watching her progress.

There’s more snow in the forecast so I expect we’ll be up the local hills fairly regularly in December. I’ll keep you posted on our experiences.
