Email Newsletters

Posted by Jeremy under: Computers; Vancouver; Web Related .

I’m often asked how you send “those emails with the pictures like companies do” by friends, family, and clients. “Those emails with the pictures” are called html emails and they require that you build a webpage and send from the page.

The most effective solution I’ve found for sending and tracking html newsletter is Campaign Monitor, an Australian company who specializes in email campaigns. They are very cost-effective and they allow you to track who’s opened their emails and who hasn’t. They also provide great tutorials for anyone who’s interested in building their own html emails. Note that if you don’t know how to build webpages html emails are particularly daunting - so it’s probably best for your sanity that you contact someone who does build webpages.

Here’s a list of sample html emails that Campaign Monitor has posted.
