Just a little update that the Golf Tournament raised a total of $108,000.00 for Cystic Fibrosis! With significant personal donations from Rod a few others and a big one from Mike Mallone (Rods close friend). It is absolutely AMAZING to me that a group of about 30 volunteers for CF and most of the preperations being 4 main supporters, Chris Black, Jo-Ann Wallis, Todd Peachy and Grant Stewart…. can raise that much money in ONE DAY! (with a little help from our local super star) WAY TO GO Campbell River!

What an amazing weekend! I must say! I try and help out from the photography aspect every year. My mom Jo-Ann Wallis is on the Cystic Fibrosis commitee and helps organize the Rod Brind’Amour Golf Classic, I am lucky to be able to be a part of an incredibly inspiring weekend annually. This year being particularily special as Rod brought back the Stanley Cup, and with it, a whole lotta dreams fulfilled. The volunteers for the Campbell River Cystic Fibrosis Foundation are a group of incredibly dedicated and amazing people. Will keep you updated on the final tally of funds raised this weekend! AND ROD… WHAT A GUY….. to donate his Game 7 worn jersey to the auction…. people just don’t do things like that! Absolutely inspiring. I was also lucky enough to climb up the fire truck ladder.. (knees shaking and scared out of my mind) to take aerial shots of the Stanley Cup Parade and Events at the Tyee Plaza.
What a weekend.

The guy who won the jersey is Tommy Pallan (Pallan Timber) and I believe it was for sixteen five not sixteen. As part of the auction he gets to go to Rod’s parents place and have private pictures taken with Rod, his family, Mike Commodore and of course Lord Stanley, now thats priceless…. Nice job on the blog. Cheers J

Hey, thanks for the link! These pictures are awesome. I posted some pics at my journal from the celebration today. I was a bit away but some turned out alright.

And can I just say how embarrassed I am that I recognize the guy on the left in the MC CR Fan Club pic? Hahaha.
