Vancouver Tour De Gastown

UPDATE: I found some pics of last night’s event on Flickr today. 2006 Tour de Gastown Pictures.
Vancouver’s Tour De Gastown happens today right around the corner from my office. It’s a huge event and is expected to draw a large crowd of cycling enthusiasts from all over BC.
From the Tour De Gastown Website:
With annual crowds totalling almost 35,000, the legendary Tour de Gastown, organized by the Wedgewood Cycling Team on behalf of the Gastown Business Improvement Society, is one of the most famous races in Canada and the centerpiece of BC SUPERWEEK; British Columbia’s most prestigious week of bike racing, and now another great fundraiser for the BC Cancer Foundation!
It should be an exciting evening of bicycle racing - head out and show your support for the athletes and the BC Cancer Foundation.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t your cycling pic there of the Yaletown Grand Prix?

Is it? I posted the picture before the event occurred…It’s a cycling image of Vancouver from istockphoto.com.
If you’ve got a pic of the Tour de Gastown that you’d let me use I would be happy to correct the error. Thanks, Jeremy

I’m pretty sure that photo is taken at Helmchen at Homer, looking east down Helmchen… which would mean the bike race is the Yaletown Grand Prix (of which I also have a bunch of photos).
