Cypress Mountain Opening Thursday!

A couple of good rainstorms in Vancouver have led to an abundance of snow in the local mountains. I received an email from Cypress Mountain today informing me that they will be opening on Thursday, November 16th. If all goes well this will be one of the earliest openings on record (3rd earliest).
From the Cypress Newsletter:
The Downhill Area will be open on November 16, 2006 from 9 am to 4 pm, with the Easy Rider Quad Chair and the High Speed Eagle Express Quad Chair in operation. We will continue to open more terrain as the snow accumulates. Our Cross Country Area will also be open from 9 am to 4 pm.
