Watching the news this afternoon I heard a report that Stormtech is providing thousands of jackets to the homeless in Vancouver. I’m really impressed.
Stormtech has issued a challenge to other companies to deliver goods to help out.
I found their news release online:
Stormtech donates over $100,000 worth of jackets to homeless
VANCOUVER, Dec. 8 /CNW/ – On Saturday, December 9th 2006 Stormtech will be onsite at the Union Gospel Mission, handing out jackets and sweaters to those attending the Mission’s “special holiday dinner” which runs from 10:30 am to 4 pm. The Mission is expecting over 2500 people to attend the East
Cordova location where Stormtech will be at. The jackets being donated by Stormtech have a retail value of over $100,000.
Stormtech would like to challenge other Lower Mainland businesses to get involved hands-on this holiday season, and help out the homeless. By providing coverage of this event the media can help us get our challenge out, and hopefully drum up more support for those in need.
