I’ll be attending the Northern Voice conference at the end of this week and into the weekend.
Thanks to Jordan @ Tell Ten Friends for letting me know that tickets were almost sold out. Thanks to Darren Barefoot for reinforcing that bit of info, which motivated me to buy my ticket when I did. (Probably not a moment too soon!)
You may not know what Northern Voice is – here’s a short description from their site.
Northern Voice is a two-day, non-profit personal blogging conference that’s being held at the UBC main campus on February 23-24, 2007.
This is the 3rd annual incarnation of this event, see the 2006 and 2005 websites for previous information.
This will be my fourth web related conference – I’ve attended:
I’m really looking forward to spending two days in the company of a bunch of like-minded people. Working for myself, I don’t get the opportunity to hear and discuss new web related ideas in person very often – it’s usually all online. I’m also hoping that this weekend will inspire me to spend a bit more time on my blog, as I’ve neglected it a little since the new year. In my defense work’s been awfully busy. And my Flickr account has been a lot more active because of the new camera.
If Northern Voice is one-tenth as good as Web Directions North – I’ll be walking away from the conference with a big smile.
