Vancouver Canucks Rap

My brother sent me over a link to this YouTube video this morning and it made me laugh. I don’t know who put it together but if you’re a Canucks fan you’ll surely get a kick out of this. Enjoy!

Speaking of the weather…

Sunrise in Burnaby, BC on March 6, 2007Wow, what a beautiful spring day. It’s the first day in a long time that I’ve been able to walk around Gastown (near my office) without feeling clenched and cold.

I had a hunch it was going to be a good day when Bridget nudged me this morning and said, “Wake up…look at that sunrise!“. I jumped out of bed and shot a bunch of pictures and then poured a cup of coffee.

Because the weather’s comfortable I explored the neighborhood a little more than usual and on the way back from my little walk I stopped in at the Red Square Salon and booked an appointment for later today. I’ve never been there before, but anything’s gotta be better than my current big hair. I’m looking forward to getting a “go-faster” haircut.

While visiting Red Square’s website I saw a link to Raised Eyebrow Web Studio. They sure do nice work. I’m amazed that I haven’t stumbled upon their site before. I’ve added the partners’ blog, BossLady.ca to my list of daily reads and I’m looking forward to seeing more of their work.

Take 15 minutes today, if you can, and go for a short walk and enjoy the warm weather. It feels great!

An Evening at Il Giardino: Wow!

Pat's 60th Birthday
Bridget and Jeremy @ Il Giardino, Vancouver

Happy Birthday Pat!

Last night was Bridget’s Mom’s 60th birthday. We joined her family for dinner at Il Giardino. I had never been there before and was blown away by the food and the service – the atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful too. It felt like we were the only people there and the restaurant was full. (I’m somewhat self-centered, which explains why I didn’t notice the other patrons).

Our dining experience lasted over three hours and was first-rate throughout from appetizer to dessert. Bridget’s family is always a lot of fun too, so having great company made the evening. I’ll end this with one more happy birthday to Pat!
