So the weather’s been killing me this month – where’s the sun been?!
Good news is that the weather network says summer is coming to Vancouver next week.
So get your coolers, bbqs and flip-flops out for the Canada Day long weekend – I think it’s going to feel like summer!
My girlfriend and I love Mexican food but there aren’t a lot of good Mexican restaurants in Vancouver, particularly where we’re living in Burnaby (at least not that I’m aware of).
Last week I was watching Shaw’s channel 4 and they mentioned Mi Mexico Restaurant on Hastings in Burnaby. The show’s host brought a guy into the restaurant and had him try a number of Mexican dishes, which all looked great. The “random guy” said he really enjoyed the food.
Since watching the show, I’ve been wanting to take Bridget there and tonight was the perfect night, no food in the house, it’s right around the corner, she’s home late from work… so I called Mi Mexico twice and the phone just rang and rang. I couldn’t find a website listing their hours of business and being a Monday it’s likely closed. I finally came across a listing on Craigslist that has Mi Mexico’s information. Here’s the blurb they posted about themselves on Craigslist:
Mi Mexico Restaurant offers a Mexican cuisine in a friendly and relaxing dining environment with fresh Homemade Mexican food that you can enjoy. This is the place to go and get authentic Mexican food . Mexican food combines all of these fine cuisines to create some of the best tasting food.Authentic salsas ,we make our salsas fresh and homemade right here in Mi Mexico. We hope you will come to consider us a favorite among Mi Mexico restaurants.

Mi Mexico Restaurant Reviews
My uncle sent me over this video from Popular Mechanics about Microsoft’s new project — a surface computer.
I’ve seen a few articles about this surface computing technology but this is the first video. Midway through the video they demonstrate how you can put a camera and cell phone on the table and then drag (with your hands) an image from one device to the other. This video is well worth watching.
