My First Barcamp (Vancouver)

Barcamp Vancouver 2007 LogoI’m attending Barcamp in Vancouver this weekend. I was one of the lucky 120 who got in before all the spots were filled -last I heard the wait list is 70+ people.

Barcamp Vancouver is happening at Workspace, which I’ve never had the chance to visit before. Since Workspace opened I’ve been meaning to get down there and check it out…but time’s been rather short this year, so Barcamp’s a great excuse to check out Workspace. I’m hoping they’re serving their legendary coffee this weekend.

The last conference I attended was Northern Voice, where I got to meet a bunch of people from the local tech/blog world. Working for myself, I don’t often get the opportunity to mingle with people who do the same kind of work that I do, so weekends like this are always fun. I’m really looking forward to it.

Check out Tell Ten Friends or Megan Cole for more info about Barcamp Vancouver. Kris Krug‘s also hosting another Photowalk on Friday night, which looks like fun.
