Wow! We’ve had two days of sunshine - and hasn’t it felt nice.
I had a dentist appointment this morning on the Westside. Most people don’t like going to the dentist, but I really like to visit my dentist’s office. The views from the office are amazing, he’s a great dentist, and the staff always treat me really well. It almost feels like “Cheers” without the beer. I always get a “Jer!” whenever I walk in the door.

As I mentioned, the view from the chair is really good. I only visit the dentist once every six months, which means I always forget to bring my camera along. Today, with the weather being so good, I remembered.
The photo above is a panorama composed of five photos. I stitched them together using Adobe Photoshop CS3’s -> Photomerge command.
Enjoy the view!

I’m sitting in the Bellingham International Airport in Bellingham, Washington. They’ve got FAST, free wi-fi here! Yay!
I’m on my way to Palm Springs to play some golf with my girlfriend and my folks. I haven’t been down there for about four years, but last time I went we had a blast. Really, what’s better than golfing in the sunshine during the day and doing a bit of gambling in the evenings?
I’m flying on Allegiant Air for an incredibly reasonable price. The only downside was that I had to leave Vancouver at 3:15am this morning. The good news is that there were no other cars at the border, so it took me less than an hour to get from my home in Burnaby to the Bellingham Airport.
The staff here at the airport have been super friendly and helpful. I’m hoping the flight will be just as good - will report on the flight later this week.
I still can’t get over how great it is to have wi-fi in the airport - it makes waiting for your flight a whole lot better.

Lee Lefever at Common Craft shares a “Classic Lesson on Being Small and Happy“.
When we arrived at our rental house in Mexico, we found well-worn notebook with hints about the town and surroundings. On one of the pages was a story that I had heard before, but for this particular vacation, and at this point in our careers, it had extra meaning.
It’s worth a read…

Amy Rogerson, a good friend and client, recently started her own blog. Shirts From Seed is about being a mother and being in business. Her business is Shirtseed Bamboo and Organic Cotton T-Shirts.
Check out her blog and leave a comment or two to encourage her to get the ball rolling. She’s really passionate about all things ethical and environmental (Yay! We need more of these people in business) and has a lot to say. She’s also a pleasure to debate with.
Best of luck Amy!

Rod Brind’Amour is from my hometown and is really involved in helping Cystic Fibrosis raise funds for research and treatment. I just received an email from the Campbell River Cystic Fibrosis chapter that pointed me to a video with Rod and Kim Black down in Raleigh, North Carolina. They’re at an award dinner for a doctor who’s been researching Cystic Fibrosis for over 30 years. Here’s the video.
